Beyond residencies of artistic and scientific research, Le sas deploys where it acts.

From June 2014 to August 2015, Le sas was in artistic and scientific residency at PROTO204, University Paris-Sud, University Paris-Saclay. Le sas created there the SmallLab, an open-space for multimedia creation, transformed today in a Hackerspace.

From 2015 to 2019, Le sas worked for an artistic and scientific residency at the Institut d’Astrophysique Spatiale (IAS) of the University Paris-Sud, named Le sas>105. It took place in the former helium-4 liquefaction hall in Building 105 of the Scientific Center of Orsay. There, concepts were discussed and designed, prototypes were realized, ideas were experienced and experimented.

Le sas>105 comprised a space for sharing ideas, a design office, a workshop and multimedia hardware (sensors, computers, sound cards, GPUs, loudspeakers, screens, video beamers) to support and assist projects developed at Le sas. Le sas>105 was also an exhibition place statedly open to visitors (Science Days, visits for schools, students and other members of the University Paris-Saclay).
